Our Story

Learn about our journey, values, and the dedicated team working to transform lives through education.

How We Started

Global Youth Initiative was founded in 2018 by a group of college students who recognized the stark educational inequalities they witnessed during volunteer trips to rural India.

What started as a small fundraising effort to sponsor just five children has grown into a comprehensive organization supporting over 1,200 students across multiple countries. We realized that education is not just about funding—it's about removing every barrier that stands between a child and their potential.

Today, we operate in two key areas: providing direct financial support for K-8 education and offering free college counseling workshops to help students navigate higher education opportunities. Every dollar donated goes directly to student support, with our operational costs covered by dedicated board contributions.

Transparency
Every donation is tracked and reported. We believe donors deserve to know exactly how their contributions are making an impact.
Community
We work hand-in-hand with local communities, schools, and families to ensure sustainable, culturally-sensitive support.
Impact
We measure success not by funds raised, but by lives transformed. Every program is designed for maximum educational impact.
Excellence
We strive for excellence in everything we do, from our educational programs to our operational efficiency, ensuring the highest quality support for students.
Empowerment
We believe in empowering students, families, and communities to become self-sufficient and create lasting change in their own lives.
Inclusivity
We welcome and support students from all backgrounds, ensuring that every child has equal access to educational opportunities regardless of their circumstances.
